SAAZ also organises and facilitates a range of activities including public performances and showcases, music ensembles, master classes, workshops, development of music syllabus, development of performance skills and providing advice and support to those interested in Indian music.
SAAZ activities are open to all members of the wider community. SAAZ interacts with students, national and international musicians as well as the general public. It also encourages interaction between Indian and western musicians. SAAZ supports students of all ages to participate in the activities independent of age, background, race or gender.
Over the last 15 years, SAAZ has operated in the West Midlands and Bedfordhire and now aims to cater for needs in the East of England region with particular emphasis on Beds, Herts and Cambridgeshire. It has held a range of events including student show cases, concerts and master classes. It continues to explore avenues to work with local organisations and community members to raise awareness of Indian classical music.
