General Structure
The basic structure is shown below. It is primarily geared to develop and enhance the talents of the individual student to enable him or her to reach their maximum potential.
Students of all ages (including adults) are encouraged to participate. Regular group sessions can be supplemented with one-to-one training to provide specialist attention and focus on key aspects.
All students will be monitored and will receive a learning and practice schedule. The weekly classes will follow a syllabus developed with internationally acclaimed performing musicians.
Although the continuous progress of the students will be monitored and assessed by SAAZ tutors, the whole process will be overseen by master musicians with specialisms in instrumental and vocal music.
All students will undergo a practical assessment during the visits of master musicians from the UK and India.
Types of Training
Students may opt for a more general training to improve their appreciation of Indian classical music or may specialise in instrumental or vocal forms of music. They will be expected to participate in showcases and performances to develop and apply their musical skills. Rehearsal sessions will be organised to ensure that all students are adequately prepared.
Workshops and Master Classes
Specialist and intensive training sessions will be offered to all students. These will be held by master musicians from India and UK and will serve to improve playing and performance skills.
Training material (notes and recordings) from workshop and specialist sessions will be made accessible to all SAAZ students. This material is specially designed to provide intensive musical training and increase the musical repertoire of the students.

The Benefits of being a part of SAAZ School of Music
The principal benefit of being a part of SAAZ School of music is that students will receive high quality musical teaching backed up by International artists who will oversee the musical development of our school and our students. This is a unique opportunity for students in the East of England region to receive the highest level of training in Indian Classical Music tuition. We would look forward to working with interested organisations to provide excellence in music for all members of the community.
